The Most Human In The Room
Draft · Rohith Namboothiri
A working manuscript about the people in the room with the machine.
What does it mean to be human when the machine can also do this?
Every generation of technology has asked a version of that question. Mine is answering it in real time. In IDEs, in classrooms, in hiring pipelines, in the HR modules I ship on Tuesdays.
The Most Human In The Room is a working manuscript. It draws on thirteen years of shipping AI products people actually use, and the quiet conviction that the right answer is almost always the one that takes people more seriously, not less.
This book isn't an argument against AI. It's an argument against a specific shape of laziness: the one that says, we have a model now, so we don't need to think about this anymore.
We need to think about it more. That's what the work is.
